Roger Crook is a distinguished business leader renowned for his significant contributions as the former CEO of DHL, a global logistics and courier delivery services company. With a career spanning several decades, Crook has left an indelible mark on the logistics industry, earning respect for his strategic acumen and dedication to innovation. Mr. Crook is no stranger to the MNW project having joined the leadership team 4 years as an advisor to CEO Dan Weinberger. His appointment to the board is a next step in his supportive efforts for our company.
Roger Crook embarked on his professional journey in the logistics industry by joining DHL, a pioneering logistics company, and steadily climbed the corporate ladder, showcasing his exceptional skills and leadership abilities. Over the years, he held various critical positions within the company, demonstrating a deep understanding of the logistics landscape and a passion for driving growth.
Roger Crook’s tenure as the CEO of DHL marked a pivotal era for the company. Under his stewardship, DHL experienced remarkable growth and expansion on a global scale. He was instrumental in implementing innovative strategies that propelled DHL to the forefront of the logistics industry. Jason Scott is the Founding General Partner at 525 Fund, a global-focused, early-stage venture fund. Prior to launching 525, Jason was a Partner at ANIM and led Google’s startup developer ecosystem, and has been responsible for launching and running startup programs for Google worldwide, including Google’s Accelerators for Black-led, women-led and climate-focused companies. Jason is also a co-founder of the Black Angel Group, XA Network Africa, and Net Zero Angels.
Finishing an undergraduate degree at MIT in Biological Sciences with a minor in Science, Technology and Society (STS), Jason got his professional start in management consulting at Arthur D. Little. After ADL, Jason moved from Boston to San Francisco to join the YC-backed startup — Homejoy — and subsequently went on to pursue an MBA from Stanford GSB. During and after GSB, Jason worked independently with a number of startups, eventually joining the investment team at Highland Capital Partners. He has also served as a scout investor for Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Today, in addition to his role leading 525 and his various angel collectives, Jason remains an active Google for Startups partner, Techstars Investor-in-Residence, and startup / angel investor advisor.
