In France, Safran, a leading industrial giant, is the best-performing company in the CAC 40 index in 2024. It has jumped by 31% this year and by over 51% in the past 12 months.
The company is benefiting from the rising demand for defence and civil aviation around the world. This is notable since Safran is one of the biggest providers of aircraft engines and other services.
As a result, the company’s business has been booming. Its revenue rose by 21.9% to €23.2 billion in 2023 while free cash flow came in at €2.9 billion, a 10% increase. Its backlog has also jumped sharply in the past few months.
