iExec Expands RLC Utility with New Developer Incentives and Circular Revenue Model

iExec has unveiled a major update to its ecosystem at Tokenomics Week, introducing a series of initiatives aimed at increasing the utility of its native RLC token. The Web3 infrastructure firm is deepening its focus on incentivizing adoption and streamlining developer experiences, all while reinforcing the token's integral role within its decentralized privacy ecosystem. For more on iExec’s role in decentralized computing and the future of RLC, explore our latest DePIN insights.
Developer-Friendly RLC Voucher System Launches
At the heart of the update is the launch of the iExec Voucher system, a prepaid mechanism designed to simplify onboarding and token usage for developers. Builders can now access fixed-price vouchers preloaded with RLC, eliminating the need for manual token handling and unpredictable gas fees.
BUILD vouchers are available for free to new developers starting their journey.
As projects go live, developers transition to EARN vouchers, tying token use directly to dApp deployment and scaling.
This streamlined approach reduces friction and strengthens RLC’s function as the transactional backbone for iExec-powered applications.
Introducing a Circular Revenue-Sharing Model
Complementing the voucher system is iExec’s new circular revenue-sharing model, a key component in aligning ecosystem incentives. Instead of a one-way revenue flow, voucher sales now feed income back into the ecosystem:
Builders and users receive RLC rewards based on their network activity.
The model ensures that the more a participant contributes—whether by deploying apps or interacting with services—the more they benefit.
This feedback loop creates a self-reinforcing economic structure that rewards utility and fosters sustained ecosystem growth.
Privacy Pass Boosts: More RLC, More Rewards
iExec is also enhancing its existing Privacy Pass staking program, which lets users monetize their email inboxes in exchange for RLC tokens—all while maintaining privacy through confidential computing.
In a newly announced promotion:
Rewards are now boosted based on RLC token holdings.
Users with higher RLC balances unlock greater earnings from participating in marketing campaigns.
This update not only incentivizes long-term token holding but also aligns with iExec’s privacy-centric ethos.
Builder Incentive Program and Ecosystem Fund
To further drive adoption, iExec is expanding its Builder Incentive Program, offering consistent RLC rewards to developers based on app engagement and the volume of protected data. The program scales rewards with impact, making privacy-preserving application development more financially viable.
This initiative is supported by the 1 million RLC Ecosystem Fund, aimed at helping developers transform prototypes into production-ready dApps. Grants and support services are available to projects aligned with iExec’s focus on privacy and data ownership.
Strategic Vision and Industry Collaborations
These new utilities and incentives reflect iExec’s broader roadmap to build a trust layer for DePIN and AI infrastructure. According to co-founder and CEO Gilles Fedak:
“Our latest initiatives encourage people to use RLC instead of holding it, driving a circular token economy that creates value through utility.”
As iExec expands partnerships—including ongoing work with Nvidia and the Confidential Computing Consortium—its efforts to build a privacy-first Web3 framework continue gaining traction.
