NFT Marketplace Magic Eden Launches Mobile App With $100K Mintfest

Magic Eden, a popular cross-chain NFT marketplace, has unveiled its mobile app for Android and iOS devices. The project’s team is celebrating the digital wallet’s launch with a $100,000 giveaway campaign called Mintfest.

Magic Eden Launches Mobile App

A press release revealed that Magic Eden developed its mobile app by partnering with Exodus Wallet, a self-custodial wallet for storing crypto. The Magic Eden wallet app, now available for mobile users, enables smooth transactions and easier management of NFTs.

Notably, users access the NFT marketplace through the browser extension Magic Eden Wallet. However, its capabilities are limited. With the mobile version, the commonly-used NFT trading platform will introduce more features to users. Some of these features include access to cross-chain NFT management across five blockchains, DeFi protocols, enhanced security from Exodus’ “robust security protocols,” and more.

Concerning the launch of the new mobile wallet, Magic Eden’s CEO, Jack Lu, said:

“We are consistently striving to improve the ease and benefits of our cross-chain ecosystem, and I’m extremely proud of the functionality of our mobile wallet. There is no doubt that collaborating with a best-in-class partner like Exodus helped elevate the project significantly.”

$100K Mintfest Features Memecoins

The Mintfest entails users minting digital collectibles from the Dogwifhat (WIF), Michi (MICHI), and Echelon PRIME Foundation. Note that the first two tokens are memecoins, while the last one is a game-focused token for the Echelon ecosystem.

Additionally, the collectibles will have open editions (OEs) divided into three parts. For WIF, the OE will occur between August 21st and 25th. MICHI will be released between August 26th and August 29th. Finally, PRIME will be rolled out between August 29th and September 1st.

Encouraging long-term holding, Magic Eden Wallet’s website explained that users cannot trade their tokens immediately until a fixed time. Also, Mintfest imbues scarcity by capping the slots for the $100,000 giveaway at 250, where each participant can claim $400.
