Tron (TRX) is underperforming in the top 10, trailing Dogecoin and Ethereum. Will TRXUSDT break all-time highs in Q2 2025? Will Justin Sun visit the U.S. to meet Trump?

Tron (TRX) is a laggard among the top 10 cryptos. According to Coingecko, it is up nearly 3% in 24 hours and just 7% in the past week, TRX is trailing Dogecoin, which surged 40% in one week, and Ethereum, which rose 4% in 24 hours and 40% in one week, trading above $2,500.

At this pace, price action indicates that TRX could align with the main trend, supported by solid fundamentals, even becoming the next crypto to explode.

TRX Price Left Behind? Tron Still Trailing Dogecoin, Ethereum

This forecast could materialize in Q2 2025. If Bitcoin bulls push prices above $110,000, massive capital could flow into TRX, making it one of the best cryptos to consider buying in 2025.

Confidence in TRX is growing among institutions.

In January 2025, World Liberty Finance, a DeFi protocol registered in the United States and managed by the Donald Trump family, bought $2.6 million worth of TRX.

They currently own over 40.7 million TRX worth $10.8 million at spot rates, per Arkham Intelligence.

The coin was among several others, including ETH, acquired by the platform to celebrate Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.

This strategic investment signals confidence in Tron’s long-term potential, a bet that may pay off in the coming weeks or months if TRX bulls succeed.

Tron is already a leader in USDT transfers.

With low fees and high scalability, the network powers USDT and stablecoin payments in emerging economies.

As of May 9, over $73 billion in USDT had been minted on Tron, cementing its role as a major player in stablecoin issuance.

Additionally, recent performance metrics from CryptoQuant show that Tron achieved 99.7% block production efficiency.

Jeremy Koch, an analyst at Messari, told 99Bitcoins, “High block production efficiency indicates the network is making optimal use of its block space, operating at peak performance.”

Koch added that an efficient network decreases transaction costs while increasing throughput, potentially “unlocking new use cases that rely on consistently high transaction capacity.”

Will Tron Crypto Be the Dark Horse in Q2 2025?

Justin Sun, the outspoken co-founder of Tron, firmly believes TRX will surpass all-time highs by the end of Q2 2025.

Although no specific driver supports this claim, TRX’s performance over the past few years provides a foundation.

On X, an analyst noted that TRX prices have been remarkably resilient despite market volatility. This resilience, the analyst explained, could indicate “silent accumulation” and long-term strength.

Technically, the analyst considers TRX one of the most undervalued assets in this bull cycle, predicting a 5X to 10X spike, pushing TRX to $1–$2 in the next bull run.

In April, an account tied to HTX, likely Sun, registered to be among the top 220 TRUMP holders that will meet Donald Trump on May 22.

It remains to be seen whether Sun will travel to the United States, where the SEC has pursued civil litigation against him.

The regulator alleges that TRX and its ecosystem tokens, including BTT, are unregistered securities. Additionally, the SEC claims Justin Sun manipulated TRX prices through wash trading, artificially inflating trading volumes.

In February, the Sun and the SEC asked a federal court to pause enforcement while they explored a resolution. The move “would conserve judicial resources.”
