The Smart Web Company Buys 196.90 BTC ($20.7M) in Latest Purchase

The Smart Web Company, a London-based company, has increased its Bitcoin holdings by adding 196.90 BTC to its portfolio. The purchase valued at $20.7 million at current market price brings its total stash to 543.52 BTC.

In an official announcement on Tuesday, the firm revealed that the coins were purchased at an average price of $103,290 per BTC. As of June 24, 2025, the Smart Web Company’s total Bitcoin holdings amount to 543.52 BTC. These were acquired for about $57.7 million at an average price of $104,450 per bitcoin

The company officially adopted a “10-Year Plan,” treasury strategy in April.

This initiative aims to steadily increase the firm’s BTC reserves while it continues to accept Bitcoin as payment, a policy in place since 2023. Last week, the company bought 104 BTC for $10 million.

Institutional Interest in Bitcoin

The Smart Web Company is part of a growing wave of corporations that have embraced Bitcoin as a long-term asset. Following the footsteps of Strategy, several institutions are increasingly viewing BTC as a hedge against inflation, currency devaluation, and macroeconomic uncertainty.

Earlier this week, the Blockchain company acquired 75 BTC for $8 million, taking their total holdings to 1,728 bitcoins. Following this purchase, the company acquired a BTC Yield of 1,231.7% year-to-date YTD.

Similarly, the Japanese investment firm Metaplanet boosted its BTC stash to 11,111 bitcoins on Monday. The firm spent about 118.2 million to acquire an additional 1,111 BTC. Moreover, Metaplanet recently allocated $5 billion to the expansion of its Bitcoin Treasury.
