XLM, TON, ENA rise as KuCoin adds USDC trading pairs

KuCoin has introduced new USDC trading pairs for Stellar (XLM), Toncoin (TON), and Ethena (ENA).
Following the announcement, the prices of all three tokens saw modest gains as traders responded to the development.
KuCoin adds new pairs for XLM, TON, ENA
Stellar (XLM), Toncoin (TON), and Ethena (ENA) have new trading pairs on the crypto exchange KuCoin.
Per an announcement the exchange published on March 24, KuCoin is adding trading pairs for the altcoins against USDC, the world’s second-largest stablecoin by market share.
KuCoin plans to have the trading pairs and respective call auctions available on March 25, 2025.
A call auction is a mechanism KuCoin introduced in 2024 to shield users against sharp price fluctuations related to new trading pairs.
The exchange allows users to place call auctions before new trading pairs go live.
XLM/USDC listing will go live at 8:00 UTC, TON/USDC at 9:00 UTC, and ENA/USDC at 10:00 UTC on March 25, 2025.
Ahead of the listing, KuCoin has opened deposits and withdrawals.
XLM sees modest gains
Stellar (XLM) has been one of the top altcoin gainers in recent weeks.
In particular, the coin rose as XRP exploded amid news related to the Ripple case.
The KuCoin announcement has seen XLM price experience a slight price increase in the past 24 hours, rising 3% to above $0.28.
The 24-hour gains for Stellar came as the broader market witnessed a notable surge.
According to CoinGecko, XLM’s price hovered below $0.26 last week, but with bulls realigning with potential catalysts in the offing, its likely buyers will target $0.30.
Stellar’s chart shows an ascending triangle pattern and a break above $0.30 could allow for a retest of $0.36.
XLM reached its year-to-date high of $0.51 on January 16, 2025.
The token previously climbed to $0.63 in November 2024 during a broader crypto market rally.
ENA jumps 8%, TON flat
Ethena (ENA) was up nearly 8% in 24 hours to record the most gains among the three altcoins.
Per CoinGecko data, ENA’s value reached highs of $0.39, as it outpaced XLM and TON in percentage gains.
However, while the KuCoin listing is notable, ENA looks to have gained amid positive Ethena USDe news.
This is because meme launchpad Pump.fun recently unveiled its own decentralised exchange dubbed PumpSwap.
USDe is one of the core pairing assets on the new DEX.
As ENA price rose, Toncoin (TON) remained largely flat on the day.
CoinGecko data shows TON changed hands around $3.66.
While the altcoin continues to struggle near a key resistance level, the slow grind suggests a potential triangle breakout. The area around $4 could be critical to bulls.
