Waves Futbol brings a new kind of football experience to the Waves community and football fans: a fast, social prediction game where every match becomes a chance to prove your football instincts.

Waves Futbol is built for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and gives users a simple way to make predictions, compete with other fans, and follow their position on a public leaderboard throughout the tournament. The platform is designed to be easy to join, quick to understand, and active from the first match to the final whistle.

How it works

Once inside, users can move directly into the “Picks” section and start making predictions across the tournament. The fee for predictions is 0.10 $WAVES (≈ 0.03$). The platform already includes 72 upcoming predefined matches. Predictions could be different:

• group-stage matches
• best-third places
• knockout rounds
• final placements

Group-stage matches lock 15 minutes before kickoff, which keeps the experience active and time-sensitive without making it complicated.

Community competition

The leaderboard adds an immediate competitive edge to the experience. Users can see how many players have joined the game and how large the prize pool is before the World Cup begins. Once the first matches are played, they can already track their position on the leaderboard through live scores and on-chain results.
