celer network

In a significant development, Celer Network has announced the launch of cBridge support for the Linea Mainnet, a zkEVM L2 solution for Ethereum. This pioneering integration, marking a key milestone in Celer’s strategic partnership with Linea, is set to accelerate interoperability across a growing number of blockchain ecosystems.

cBridge Brings Support For BNB, BUSD, AVAX, and MATIC

According to a latest blog post, Celer Network, a leading blockchain interoperability protocol, has announced cBridge bridging support for major blockchain networks to facilitate token transfers between different blockchains.

Celer’s vision of accelerating a harmonious interplay among various blockchain ecosystems takes a massive stride ahead with the introduction of its cBridge technology on the Linea Mainnet. By doing so, Celer is not only making cross-chain transactions a possibility but also simplifying the process for users, thereby bringing the promise of blockchain to the mainstream.

The cBridge integration is part of Celer’s relentless pursuit of seamless interoperability in the blockchain space. For the uninitiated, cBridge is an innovative solution that allows a swift, secure, and low-cost transfer of assets between multiple blockchains.

Initially, the cBridge will support the bridging of BNB, BUSD, AVAX, and MATIC tokens. With these advancements, users can transfer tokens across diverse blockchain environments with unprecedented ease. This development undoubtedly marks a critical step in dissolving the barriers that currently exist between distinct blockchain platforms, thereby enhancing the overall user experience.

Nicolas Liochon, Global Product Lead for Linea, said, “Linea’s zkEVM serves as a catalyst, empowering developers to shape the future of decentralized applications. We are thrilled to announce the launch of cBridge support for the Linea Mainnet, a significant milestone that enables seamless token bridging within the ecosystem, allowing users to effortlessly transfer tokens between different blockchain ecosystems. By building on Linea, we provide developers the opportunity to unlock the full potential of Web3 and contribute to the ongoing journey of scaling Ethereum.”

Celer Implements The xAsset Model

Celer is primed to support asset and token bridging initially by implementing the xAsset model, a lock-and-mint mechanism, for facilitating token transfers between external chains and the Linea Mainnet. In parallel, dialogues are progressing to incorporate Celer’s Inter-chain Messaging Framework, a universal message-passing protocol, to streamline the process for developers designing dApps with cross-chain application logics on Linea.

This arrangement not only promises to enable dApps to create seamless cross-chain user experiences between Linea and a variety of external blockchains but also lays the groundwork for supporting NFT bridges. These bridges will allow the ability to purchase and bid on NFTs across different chains and handle cross-chain reward claims, among other functionalities.

With Celer’s Inter-Chain Messaging Framework, all of these benefits can be provided to users through a one-click, single-transaction user experience, thus amplifying the simplicity and efficiency of the process. This signifies not just a possibility but a tangible reality enabled by the forward-thinking architecture of Celer IM.

Linea, an advanced Layer 2 blockchain solution powered by ConsenSys zkEVM, opens up new horizons for decentralized applications (dApps) on Ethereum by offering scalable and cost-effective development. It allows the use of zero-knowledge proofs with full Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility, enabling easy creation and migration of scalable dApps.

Linea’s developer-centric design integrates well with widely used tools like MetaMask and Truffle. It delivers faster transaction speeds, cuts gas costs, and maintains strong security. By using Linea, developers can explore the full potential of Web3, thereby contributing to the evolution of scaling Ethereum.

Linea’s mainnet alpha launch adds to the growing list of zkEVM projects aiming to improve Ethereum access, the second-largest blockchain by transaction volume. Rollup networks like Linea are predicted to become the main access point to Ethereum, currently seen as unfeasible for many due to high fees.
