It is now confirmed that Elon Musk ranked high in Diablo and Path of Exile by letting other gamers play for him. He shared this in a conversation with Youtuber, NikoWrex over X DMs.Ā
Elon Musk recently caused debates across social media after he played Path of Exile 2 on a livestream on X. With thousands of fans and gamers watching him, it didnāt take long for them to notice suspicious activity that was untypical for his level.
First was his high rank, which was already at 97. One can only reach Muskās rank on PoE by playing for 40 hours straight. Gamers were somewhat confused about how he managed to reach that level with his busy schedule involving Tesla, SpaceX, DOGE, and his social platform, X.
Secondly, Musk also skipped valuable items on the ground because he appeared unfamiliar with the gameās UI.
Following the controversy, NikoWrex went into Muskās DMs to directly ask him whether it was his intention to ātake full creditā for leveling his HC characters. Musk responded that itās typical for the ātop accounts in Diablo or PoE to require multiple people playing the account to win a leveling race.ā
He also admitted that āitās impossible to beat the players in Asiaā without letting others play for you.
Musk is unapologetic about cheating in gamesĀ
Sharing accounts is an unethical practice and is usually prohibited under the terms of service for online games. The gaming community considers it cheating, especially when a famous personality like Elon Musk portrays himself as one of the greatest gamers of all time.
Furthermore, NikoWrex asked him whether he would āapologize to the PoE community for any misunderstanding that the whole situation might have caused?ā
Musk replied in jest, asking what he would be apologizing for and āwho are their elected representatives?ā
Musk did not back down in defense of his gaming skills. He also said, āNo matter how you cut it, a sub-2-minute clear of the hardest level in Diablo is very fast. My run is posted to X. Very few mistakes were made.ā
Thanks

Muskās ex-wife Grimes also shared her support for him in an X post. She defended Musk, saying that he was āthe first American druid in Diablo to clear the abattoir of zirā and also ranked best at the end of the season.
Musk says AsmonGold must admit he is a āliving god of video gamesā
Doubts about Muskās gaming were also brought up by AsmonGold, a famous YouTuber when he posted a video highlighting the red flags in Muskās livestreams. Asmon even offered that if Musk proves that he played his PoE account to level 97, he will stream for an entire year on X,Ā bringing his massive audience.
The tech billionaire got back to AsmonGold (in a now-deleted tweet), leaking his DMs, saying AsmonGold is a pretentious āmaverickā who needs permission from his boss to stream on X. He said, āHe is not his own man.ā
Musk also appeared to have removed AsmonGoldās X verification after unfollowing him.
When NikoWrex asked Musk if he would let AsmonGold do a livestream of the SpaceX rocket launch, Musk replied jokingly that AsmonGold first needs to admit that āI am the living God of video games.ā
