Business intelligence firm Strategy has re-entered the Bitcoin market after a 10-week hiatus. The company recently made a multimillion-dollar purchase for its corporate treasury. The acquisition coincides with another significant buy from Strive, indicating that companies still have confidence in bitcoin.
The development occurs while bitcoin is trading below its recent high, raising questions about companies’ ongoing confidence in the leading asset. As of this writing, the apex coin is priced at $77,827.66, according to CoinGecko market data.
Strategy Ends 10-Week Pause With $370M BTC Buy
Strategy purchased 4,603 BTC for $369.7 million between August 24 and 30, paying an average of $80,318 per coin, including fees. The transaction increased its total holdings to 845,050 BTC, solidifying Strategy’s status as the largest publicly traded corporate holder of bitcoin globally.
The purchase marked the end of a 10-week buying freeze that followed its last acquisition in June, providing investors with fresh evidence that accumulation had resumed. During the pause, Strategy raised $602.8 million by selling 4.53 million MSTR shares through its at-the-market offering program last week.
The company allocated $151.8 million for repurchasing STRC preferred shares, paid $50.7 million in dividends, and added $30 million to its reserves. Entering September, Strategy had $5.10 billion in USD reserves and $1.61 billion in cash, which strengthened its liquidity alongside its Bitcoin treasury.
The company stated that these measures helped reduce net leverage to zero, while preserving financial flexibility for future purchases and obligations.
Strive Purchase Adds To Growing Corporate Bitcoin Demand
Institutional demand for the leading coin extended beyond Strategy as Strive Asset Management acquired another 1,800 BTC for approximately $143 million between August 24 and 28. The company paid an average of $79,431 per bitcoin, increasing its total holdings from 21,356 to 23,156 coins through this latest purchase.
Strive’s growing position gives investors another watched example of companies expanding exposure while bitcoin prices remain below previous market highs. Therefore, the combined purchases by both firms represent hundreds of millions in fresh demand entering bitcoin markets this week overall.
However, purchases alone cannot guarantee price gains, because bitcoin remains sensitive to liquidity, macroeconomic conditions, leverage, and investor risk appetite. Strategy and Strive now face the challenge of maintaining disciplined financing while navigating volatility that could quickly change acquisition economics.
