Balanced Now Available to Archway Users

Balanced, a cross-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) native to ICON, is now live on Archway. The expansion to Cosmos is enabled by an earlier integration of ICON’s general messaging service to Cosmos Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol. Archway is the first of many chains that Balanced will connect users to, through a hub-and-spoke model powered by ICON.

A DEX designed with usability at its core, Balanced now provides a seamless cross-chain experience for all users through this integration. Users can easily swap or transfer assets between Archway and ICON using native wallets and tokens, with support for Injective and Avalanche soon to follow.

Adoption for ICON’s Cross-Chain Framework

Balanced’s launch on Archway is a significant step towards large-scale adoption for ICON’s general cross-chain messaging service (xCall), which is designed to simplify cross-chain development by standardizing across distinct frameworks.

Scott Smiley, core contributor to Balanced, says of this cross-chain leap:

The ICON Foundation proudly supports Balanced’s cross-chain expansion into the Cosmos ecosystem and will provide seed liquidity for Balanced’s Archway launch to provide users with a smooth trading experience from day one.
