A recent report disclosed details of the crypto advisory council as industrial leaders flirt with Donald Trump ahead of his inauguration. A week from now, US President-elect Donald Trump will officially assume his office in the White House. With the climax edging closer, the transition team is dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s on appointments and agenda upon resumption. A Bloomberg report, citing anonymous people familiar with the issue, has disclosed the Trump team’s personnel construction of the crypto advisory team. A 24-Man Crypto Council The people, who pleaded anonymity, revealed that Trump intends to appoint 24 crypto leaders for the advisory role. The constituents would include CEOs and founders in the crypto space, who would help formulate policies to guide the space, advise the presidency on digital assets, and help create the proposed Bitcoin reserve. Furthermore, the report revealed that most of the members of the community already have close ties with Trump, and some have already met with Trump to discuss related issues. Notably, several industry leaders recently visited Trump at Mar-a-Lago, Florida, and there are speculations that their discussions touched on the appointment and the industry at large. Staunch enthusiasts like Michael Saylor, Brad Garlinghouse, Stuart Alderoty, and Crypto.com’s Kris Marszalek are on the list. Crypto Industry Flirt With Trump Meanwhile, crypto firms continue to donate generously towards Trump’s inauguration. Circle’s Jeremy Allaire recently disclosed that the second-largest stablecoin issuer has gifted 1 million USDC to the inauguration team. This trailed a similar donation from Ondo and Kraken, which promised to give $1 million to the inaugural committee. Meanwhile, Ripple also donated $5 million in XRP to the course. Moreover, industry leaders are hosting an “Inaugural Crypto Ball” in Washington two nights before the inauguration date to support Trump’s incoming tenure. Major firms like Coinbase, Ondo, MetaMask, and Galaxy Digitals are sponsors of the event, which has a $2,500 gate fee. If things go as proposed, the Trump team, in collaboration with appointed crypto czar David Sacks, will unveil the list soon after the inauguration. Industry leaders are also clamoring for the president to pass the US Bitcoin Reserve bill in his first 100 days in office.
