Blockaid brings real-time security to Hedera
Hashgraph has partnered with Blockaid, the Web3 security leader, to deliver real-time protection across the Hedera network. The first integration is now live on HashPack, where users gain proactive dApp and token scanning that stops scams, fraud, and malicious activity before it happens.

This month showcased major momentum across the Hedera ecosystem.
- Dfns, a leading wallet infrastructure provider for institutions, integrated Hedera to enable institutional DeFi, AI, and asset tokenization. Read more here.
- KAIO expanded its fully onchain regulated real-world asset offerings on Hedera, including BlackRock ICS US Dollar Liquidity Fund, Brevan Howard Master Fund, and Laser Digital Carry Fund (LCF) making access to alternative investments simple and scalable. Read more here.

Hiero becomes first LFDT project to graduate
Hiero has officially graduated within the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (LFDT), becoming the first project to do so under LFDT’s new lifecycle framework and expanded umbrella. This milestone reflects Hiero’s technical excellence, open governance, and growing role in decentralized trust.
Launched in September 2024, Hiero now powers the Hedera mainnet, unites nearly 800 contributors from over 80 organizations, and drives innovation through collaborations with OpenWallet Foundation and Hyperledger AnonCreds. Its open-source ecosystem continues to expand with tools like the Hiero SDK, hiero-cli, and Hederium, cementing its status as a leading platform for enterprise-grade decentralized infrastructure.

Hackathon Updates
The Hello Future Origins Hackathon returned, bigger and bolder than ever, with a $550,000 prize pool and a global trilogy format: Origins, Ascension, and Apex. From July 21 to August 8, builders created AI agents, reimagined DeFi, and launched sustainability solutions on Hedera. Watch all the ‘AMAs’ throughout the Hackathon on YouTube here. Now the Hackathon has wrapped, community members and Hackathon participants will have the chance to meet the judges.
Running until the end of September the Hedera Africa Hackathon 2025 has a $1,000,000 prize pool and 10,000+ builders across 20+ cities–the largest Hackathon in Africa. From onchain finance and real-world assets to immersive experiences, AI, and decentralized infrastructure, innovators will compete to shape the future of Web3 on Hedera.
