  • ProShares targets July 14 for launching three XRP futures ETFs.
  • Turtle and Volatility XRP ETFs face a July SEC decision deadline.
  • SEC opens door to spot crypto ETFs, including XRP.

The XRP community is closely watching this month as several key deadlines for XRP-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs) approach. These ETF applications are under review by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with key deadlines set throughout July.

Analyst Nick, known in the crypto space as Crypto Crusader, highlighted July 14 as the expected launch date for three ProShares XRP ETFs. These are the Ultra XRP ETF, the UltraShort and Short XRP ETF, providing leveraged and inverse XRP futures exposure.

ProShares originally planned an April launch but changed its launch after a June 24 filing.

None of the existing ETFs are listed in the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) except the Ultra XRP ETF with the ticker UXRP while the other two ETFs remain unlisted at this time.

Turtle Capital is no exception; its 2X Long XRP Daily Target ETF may debut on July 21. Volatility Shares also intends to introduce an XRP ETF and a 2X XRP ETF on the same day, one of which has already been approved on July 7.

SEC’s Evolving Stance on Spot Crypto ETFs Gains Industry Attention

Coin World reports that the SEC is preparing to approve multiple spot cryptocurrency ETFs, signaling a shift in its regulatory approach. The agency is now working directly with issuers to simplify the listing process and improve clarity on ETF requirements.

This development follows growing pressure from exchanges and market participants for quicker approvals. Although Solana spot ETFs are progressing more quickly, XRP spot ETFs applications are still currently being considered, and decisions should be made by mid-October.

The REX-Osprey XRP ETF, on the other hand, is nearing its deadline date of July 25. It may even start trading this month, provided the SEC does not object.

With several XRP futures ETF deadlines in July and broader ETF reforms underway, XRP’s financial positioning could soon evolve. The SEC’s next steps are expected to shape XRP’s path in traditional investment markets.
