U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted nearly $1 billion on Monday, marking their largest single-day inflow of 2026 as institutional demand revved up. The surge arrived during a powerful BTC rebound, with the asset climbing sharply and reclaiming levels seen earlier.

According to data from SosoValue, although BlackRock was the largest contributor, the inflow was not driven by any single fund alone.

Bitcoin ETFs Attract Nearly $1 Billion

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust led the inflows, attracting $381.4 million as investors allocated substantial capital to the fund. Following closely was the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF, which secured $289.1 million. Fidelity’s FBTC followed next with $238.8 million inflow during the same trading session.

Together, these three funds accounted for over $909 million. This represented approximately 91% of the total daily inflows recorded across all products.

Other funds that saw inflows were Morgan Stanley’s MSBT and Bitwise’s BITB. They raked in $61.7 million and $21.6 million, respectively. Grayscale’s GBTC and BTC funds also played a role in the increase, attracting $3.3 million and $3.1 million, respectively. Other funds recorded no inflows.

ETF Demand Reverses September’s Earlier Outflows

Recently, there has been a notable shift in Bitcoin fund activity following a volatile trading period in September, during which investors withdrew significant amounts from these funds before demand sharply rebounded. On September 15 and 16, Bitcoin ETFs experienced net outflows of approximately $450 million and $296 million, respectively, indicating a cautious market sentiment.

However, buying resumed on September 17 with about $159 million in inflows, followed by an impressive $433 million on September 18, according to data from SoSoValue.

Although this initial recovery left weekly flows only minimally positive, the billion-dollar inflow on Monday marked a dramatic change in the market’s short-term dynamics. Bitcoin also surged on Monday, climbing from around $80,000 to over $86,000, fueled by positive broader risk sentiment and encouraging regulatory developments. At press time, BTC sold for $85,200.

The situation highlights how quickly investor sentiment towards Bitcoin investment products can change after several sessions of sustained redemptions. Investors are now left to determine whether this exceptional inflow will translate into sustained demand or if it will remain an isolated surge.
