The Shiba Inu ecosystem team has launched the highly anticipated Karma system on the Shibarium test network Puppynet.  Popular community figure Shibarium Updates recently announced the development, noting that Karma is now live on Puppynet. For context, Karma is a reputation-based system that tracks and rewards users’ engagement within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.  Karma Features According to Shibarium Updates, the Karma system is powered by smart contracts, such as KarmaLogic and KarmaStorage. While KarmaStorage helps record users’ activities, KarmaLogic processes the actions and eventually converts them to points.  The system leverages DIDs (decentralized identifiers) to track users’ engagement, with rewards allocated based on the action initiated. The ecosystem team introduced DIDs in 2023, giving users unlimited control over their personal data.  How It Works  Explaining how Karma works, The Dark Shib, a major Shiba Inu influencer, stated that the system records and rewards users’ every move, including burning of SHIB, adding liquidity on ShibaSwap, staking, and buying SHIB: The Metaverse land.  It bears mentioning that the points allocated for each action differ. Per Dark Shib, it rewards users 1,500 points for burning SHIB, 1,500 for providing liquidity of over $1,500, and 1,000 for Shibverse land purchase.  Furthermore, users receive 500 points for staking, 200 for adding SHIB/LEASH liquidity to ShibaSwap, 100 for minting Shib Magazine NFT cover, and 32 for bridging assets on Shibarium.  The influencer added that when a user swaps SHIB on ShibaSwap, an off-chain service detects the transaction and notifies KarmaLogic. Afterward, KarmaLogic calculates the points and notifies KarmaStorage, which adds them to the user’s total karma points.  https://twitter.com/TheDarkShib/status/1907471728374096065 The points for each action are expected to change once Karma goes live on the Shibarium mainnet. The team has yet to announce an official date for the mainnet launch of Karma.  Meanwhile, its launch on the Shibarium mainnet is expected to contribute to the overall growth of the Shiba Inu ecosystem. It encourages users’ participation across various ecosystem projects, as every action is now tied to a reward.
