XRP Ownership Map Tightens; Who Dominates The Board?

A fresh XRP ownership snapshot is making the rounds, and the picture is hard to ignore. Ripple Labs-linked accounts still control the largest single slice of supply, while major exchanges — especially in Korea and the U.S. — hold sizable labeled balances of their own.

The chart does not scream a sudden shift. It does show where the heavy tokens sit inside the broader XRP rich list.

According to the latest labeled breakdown circulating on X, Ripple accounts hold 39.86% across 31 wallets. Upbit follows with 6.41%, Coinbase with 5.81%, and Binance with 2.75%. Chris Larsen’s labeled accounts add another 2.53%. Smaller but still visible shares sit with Bithumb, Uphold, bitbank, and a handful of large individual or unidentified wallets.

Nearly four in ten XRP still sit in Ripple-labeled accounts. That concentration has defined the asset’s narrative for years. It does not automatically equal free float available to the market, but it does mean any discussion of circulating supply has to start with the company that issued the token.

The rest of the top slice is exchange-heavy. Upbit’s 6.41% stands out as a clear signal of Korean market depth. Coinbase’s 5.81% across hundreds of accounts points to significant U.S. and institutional custody exposure. Binance, Bithumb, and others fill in the middle ranks.

Together, the largest labeled exchange and company wallets account for a meaningful share of the total.

Beyond the named entities, 25.85% sits with other addresses inside the top 10,000 on the XRP rich list, and 10.30% sits outside that group entirely. That outer layer is where retail, smaller funds, and long-term holders live. It is also the part of the map that is hardest to read in real time.

The post framing the chart called it a “supply race.” That language is dramatic. What the data actually shows is more structural: a market where a few large labeled holders still dominate, while the remainder is spread across thousands of wallets.

Concentration at the top and fragmentation below is not new for XRP. It is simply more visible when the numbers are stacked this cleanly.

Ownership charts do not predict the next candle. They do shape how people think about liquidity, potential selling pressure, and who can move the needle. A large exchange balance can mean customer deposits, market-making inventory, or both.

A large Ripple balance has always been treated as a long-term overhang by some and as strategic reserve by others.
