In Brief:
- XRP crossed descending resistance near $1.389, while Ali Charts identified a sustained close above $1.38 as breakout confirmation for buyers.
- Lower highs and repeated defense of $1.31 support created pressure before buyers moved XRP above the declining resistance near $1.38.
- Resistance at $1.43–$1.45 and $1.50 could slow the rally, while losing $1.38 would weaken the bullish setup and revive selling.
XRP has crossed a descending resistance line, placing the $1.60 target within reach if buyers maintain control above the breakout. According to Ali Charts, a sustained close above $1.38 would confirm the move and strengthen expectations for additional price gains.
His one-hour chart showed XRP trading near $1.389, slightly above the declining trendline that had restricted several previous recovery attempts. Sellers produced lower highs across the displayed period, while buyers repeatedly defended horizontal support around the important $1.31 price region.
These movements formed a descending triangle, reflecting narrowing action and mounting pressure between buyers and sellers near the pattern’s apex. XRP then crossed the upper boundary as buyers challenged the bearish structure that had directed its movement since late August.
However, moving beyond resistance does not automatically establish a confirmed breakout because brief advances can reverse without sufficient market participation. XRP must secure an hourly close above $1.38 and defend that level during a potential retest against renewed selling pressure.

XRP Faces Resistance Before Reaching $1.60
Holding this breakout zone would indicate that former resistance has become support, providing a foundation for another upward price movement. Additionally, rising trading volume would support the breakout by showing that market participation accompanied XRP’s move above the declining trendline.
Ali’s projected $1.60 objective represents an increase of approximately 15.2% from the $1.389 price displayed on his latest technical chart. Nevertheless, XRP must overcome several nearby resistance areas before buyers can establish a reliable path toward the analyst’s main target.
Sellers could defend the region between $1.43 and $1.45, where previous upward movements encountered supply and struggled to preserve momentum. Moreover, the psychological $1.50 threshold could create another barrier because traders often place profit-taking orders around prominent round-number price levels.
A sustained move above $1.50 would strengthen XRP’s bullish prospects of reaching $1.60, which reflects the triangle’s approximate measured-move projection. Support between $1.35 and $1.38 could provide defense, while the horizontal boundary near $1.31 remains an especially critical structural level. XRP’s resistance break supports a possible advance toward $1.60, but buyers must secure $1.38 as support to confirm the setup.
