- The latest Solana news reveals that the network has ranked as the fastest-growing network for RWAs month over month.
- Active addresses and trading volume on Solana demonstrate divergence.
- Can SOL crypto break its 9-month bearish streak this month?
Solana news headlines this weekend are casting the spotlight on the real-world assets (RWAs). This comes after the latest data revealed that the Solana network has been outperforming the competition.
According to the latest Solana news, the Solana network currently ranks as the fastest-growing chain for RWAs. According to Solana Daily’s X post, it surged by over 233% between 2024 and 2026.

Solana has also outperformed the BNB chain, which ranked second with a growth rate of 216% during the same period. Solana Daily’s X post shows that the Binance chain was ranked as the leading chain for tokenized US treasuries.
This performance indicates that Solana has captured the strongest growth in the RWA segment, even as the broader crypto market has cooled following months of declining speculative activity.
Solana’s pole position in the RWAs segment underscores its ability to capture real utility.
Solana News: Solana Pulls Lead in DEX Volume
Solana has not just been winning in the RWAs segment. On-chain data revealed that the network has secured pole position as the leading chain by DEX volume.
According to DeFiLlama, the Solana network had the highest DEX trading volume among the top chains over the last 30 days. It processed more than $60 billion in DEX volume during the period, nearly three times the BNB Chain’s just over $21 billion.
In fact, Solana had more DEX volume than BNB Chain, Robinhood, and Ethereum combined. This is despite the massive hype around the Robinhood chain launch, which drew in significant volume.
DeFiLlama also revealed that most of the DEX volume on the Solana network was driven by Pump.fun. The latter is one of the most popular launch pads in the crypto market.
Meme coins account for the largest share of launches on Pump.fun. This suggests that Solana’s DeFi volume figures are mostly speculative, unlike the RWAs volume.
SOL Price Fails to Reflect Robust Solana Network Activity
The SOL price action is also trending with Solana news. It is currently stuck near its July open. This reflects consolidation near the same bottom range where it spent most of its time in Q1.
SOL price traded at $76 at press time. Its price action does not appear to be influenced by recent network performance.

The cryptocurrency has been in an overall downtrend, with a streak of 9 consecutive red monthly candles. Its current price level underscores the potential to break that trend, but that will be determined by its performance in the next two weeks.
Solana’s on-chain metrics may offer some insights into the possible outcome. For example, the network’s daily token trading volume has been slowly cooling, from around $3 billion in mid-June to around $889 million as of 18 July.

Interestingly, the token trading volume has been cooling at around the same time that active addresses have been growing. For context, Solana had around 26 million active addresses in mid-June, but that figure has since surged to 36 million, according to Token Terminal data.
Rising address activity reflects elevated on-chain activity, especially in the RWAs and WEB3 segments. However, weaker token trading volume suggests that demand may not yet be there.
A surge in token trading volumes could make for interesting Solana news. This is because it could signal the return of strong enough volume to trigger a significant SOL price recovery.
