A dormant crypto whale has recently made a surprising move after years-long staking. As per the data from Onchain Lens, the crypto whale has unstaked up to 12,296 Solana ($SOL) tokens following staking for a considerable period of 4 years to make notable profits. The on-chain analytics provider took to social media to disclose this event.
Whale Unstakes $1.78M in $SOL after 4-Year Staking
The data points out that the whale has suddenly become active following a 4-year dormancy. In this respect, the crypto whale has unstaked a noteworthy $1.78M in $SOL after a prolonged staking for four years. The move denotes the profitable exit of the whale from a staking position that continued for several years.
Originally, the whale extracted 9,402 $SOL, valued at up to $87.7K at that time, from the popular crypto exchange Binance US. Subsequently, the whale split the respective funds into a couple of accounts. One of them received 8.9K $SOL while the other got 300 $SOL coins. These transfers, now 4 years old, underscored the start of the whale’s years-long $SOL staking journey.
Total Staking Profits of Whale Comprise $1.74M
According to Onchain Lens, the whale unstaked these $SOL coins a few hours ago, transferring them to the main wallet of the whale. Specifically, one of the accounts have released up to 11.888K $SOL whereas the other has delivered 400.731 Solana. Hence, the whale has obtained $1.72M and $58.1K from these accounts respectively. Overall, the cumulative holdings of the whale have now reached the 3,091 $SOL mark in terms of staking rewards. This value equates to a stunning $1.74M when it comes to profits based on the latest market prices.
