Upbit Listings Lift 4 Altcoins With ETHGas Taking The Lead

Upbit said it would add trading for Biconomy’s BICO, Bubblemaps’ BMT, Nillion’s NIL and ETHGas’ GWEI, with BTC and USDT pairs available for each asset. The exchange did not announce Korean won pairs, an important limitation in a market where KRW liquidity can often drive the sharpest listing moves.
All four tokens rose after the notice. GWEI posted the largest gain, while BMT and BICO each advanced by more than 7%, according to market data cited alongside the announcement. NIL registered the smallest move of the group, though it was still higher on the day.
Trading activity accelerated as prices climbed. ETHGas volume jumped nearly 198% over 24 hours to about $11.1 million, while BICO recorded roughly $34.5 million in volume. BMT and NIL also saw increases in turnover, suggesting traders were positioning ahead of the venue’s launch rather than merely reacting to thin liquidity.
The precise start time appeared to shift. One account of the listing said Upbit delayed the launch by three hours to 16:00 Korea Standard Time, while another cited an initial 13:00 KST opening. Investors should rely on the exchange’s latest notice, particularly because deposits, withdrawals and trading access may not begin simultaneously.
Upbit is expected to apply its standard safeguards for new listings. These include a short restriction on buy orders after trading opens, limits on deeply discounted sell orders, and a period in which only limit orders are accepted. Deposits and withdrawals are supported only on the networks specified by the exchange.
