New leadership, Renewed Focus and 2025–2026 Roadmap.

As we celebrate THORSwap’s fourth anniversary and reflect on our extraordinary journey processing over $1.58 billion in trading volume this past year, we’d like to take the opportunity to share pivotal protocol developments and THORSwap’s upcoming roadmap.

Our new roadmap details phased development from mid-2025 to early 2026, outlining milestones to launch THORSwap V3 — a user-centric Web3 gateway featuring simplified UI, seamless wallet abstraction, personalized portfolio & dashboards, fiat on/off ramps, and enhanced $THOR token utility.

Following the execution of community proposal TIP-15, THORSwap is now an independent B2C (consumer facing) protocol benefitting from an industry-leading cross-chain tech stack.

To drive and execute THORSwap’s future, we’re proud to announce longtime contributor Alan (better known as paperX), is returning as the new Project Lead/CEO to accelerate THORSwap into its next transformative phase.

Alan brings unparalleled expertise from the trenches of cross-chain development, having been a THORSwap contributor since 2021 and playing a crucial role in SwapKit’s emergence as a leading enterprise B2B solution that now powers THORSwap’s backend infrastructure. With deep knowledge of THORSwap’s product offerings, technical architecture, user needs and the $THOR community, Alan and THORSwap’s experienced team of core contributors will work to execute our ambitious upcoming roadmap and position THORSwap as the premier Web3 gateway for the multi-chain future.

THORSwap V3 represents an evolution for the protocol to transform into a a comprehensive, user-friendly Web3 gateway that prioritizes accessibility and user experience.

Our vision centres on bridging this knowledge gap by creating an interface that makes crypto trading as simple as using centralized financial platforms and Web2 apps, while maintaining the security and permissionless technology that defines DeFi.

User-Centric Design: Intuitive interface with personalized dashboards and data-driven insights
Simplified Swapping: Streamlined swap experience with advanced features for power users
Best-in-class tracker: Users should always be fully aware of the status of their swap, it should be easily understandable via UI graphics and natural language. Linking to on-chain explorer as a backup resort — think CEXs.
Wallet Abstraction: Seamless multi-chain wallet integration and asset management
Integrated Fiat On/Off Ramps: serve as the starting point for any new Web3 user, enabling seamless fiat-to-crypto transitions

To further this goal, we’ll also be developing and launching a new brand/app alongside THORSwap, which will serve as an accessible gateway for non-web3-native users (think Robinhood for DeFi).

Advanced tools, Pro Mode & DeFi Integration

Alongside the key THORSwap V3 development process, we’re also actively researching and developing features that would lay the foundations for “Pro Mode”, these are valuable features requested and valued by advanced DeFi users and our whale traders. Including but not limited to:

We’re revitalizing our referral program with enhanced fee-sharing across all provider networks, improved management dashboards for tracking performance, and customizable tier structures.

This lays the foundation to form strategic partnerships with KOLs, DAOs, and protocols to expand our reach while generating additional revenue streams through marketing programs.

Strategic Brand Evolution

Alongside the THORSwap V3 redesign, we have an opportunity to also introduce a new Brand Identity alongside THORSwap focused on “making crypto easy” for non Web3 and DeFi natives.
