Following the verification changes brought to Twitter after Elon Musk’s takeover, the project frontrunners decided to update the verified badge of the official Shiba Inu ecosystem Twitter account. Notably, the project’s handle (@shibtoken) had been identified with the blue tick for years.

But earlier this week, the verified badge on the SHIB token Twitter account was updated to the gold checkmark. Accordingly, the account’s profile image dropped the circular layout for a square format. Notably, the fee for the gold checkmark is $1,000 per month, with other taxes attached.

Implications for the Shiba Inu Project
