Our banner in r/place failed because of the greed in this sub

This is what our "banner" looks like:

Moons?

Of course we blame bots or even Reddit admins. But the real reason is greed. People have been using their slots to overwrite other users' pixels with the same color, even after minutes. At first I didn't know what was going on, but it seems to me that this is some kind of scheme to give your pixels a higher chance of earning the promised 50 moons.

The result? People like me have given up. I'm sick and tired of trying to reach our goal. We don't deserve it.

See all those other successful banners? They were created without any reward at all. I think it's best if we don't promise rewards next time, maybe we can actually create something.
