Genuine question. Are we all in it just for the money?

So as the title suggests I hear and see a lot of conversation about crypto, the potential bright future it can hold and doing away with fiat money etc.

But I've got to be honest, I'm in it for the money. I got super lucky during the rise of the Elon investors and rode the wave on some terrible projects to make a pretty penny.

Now I've had a year to reflect and those projects have all died (clear rugs I made a quick buck on)

Really what is the future? Do we regulate, do we keep it lawless etc.

I'm really curious and would love some education.
