Is there any projects working on decentralized privacy preserving KYC?

Best I can find is Civic. But they’re not really decentralized and actually not private at all if you read their privacy policy about data retention. I’d say civic is a CEX for Web3 identity
Another one is zkPass but…., I feel uncanny. It feels like a cypherpunk project rather than a project working on regulatory compliance
