Former Head of Binance.US and prominent crypto influencer join the Trust Machines team

Trust Machines has announced the expansion of its core team with top industry talent. Binance.US’ former Head of Exchange, Rena Shah, has been hired as Trust Machines’ new Head of Strategy and Operations, while prominent cryptocurrency influencer, Bitcoin advocate, and former coms lead at Lolli, Aubrey Strobel, will assume the role of a marketing and communications advisor.

Launched by Stacks founder Muneeb Ali and Princeton computer science professor J.P. Singh, Trust Machines is aiming to unlock the trillion-dollar Bitcoin economy and usher in the era of decentralized finance (DeFi), decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Bitcoin blockchain. The company is building the Web3 infrastructure on Stacks, a programming framework that is designed to infuse Bitcoin with smart contract functionality.

Trust Machines co-founder and CEO Muneeb Ali commented on the addition of new talent in a statement:

“I’m thrilled to announce we are continuing to bring on amazing talent and partners to Trust Machines. I have admired both Aubrey and Rena’s work over the years and I look forward to the value they will add to our organization and bitcoin ecosystem.”

Strobel joins the Trust Machines team as a coveted author, who had her work featured in notable news outlets such as Newsweek, CNN, and NBC, to name a few. Her experience of growing Bitcoin adoption at Lolli and her previous stint as logistics coordinator at Coindesk will allow Strobel to assist Trust Machines with its communications and marketing efforts and showcase Bitcoin’s capabilities as a Web3 settlement layer to the broader community. Strobel said:

“I am excited to expand the awareness of Bitcoin in Web3 with Trust Machines. I believe bitcoin’s brightest days are ahead of us and look forward to attracting talent to build applications, companies, and tools around and on the Bitcoin blockchain.”

Shah is Trust Machines’ other strategic hire. Experience gained during her leading role at Binance.US and previous work at Apifiny, a leading digital asset institutional trading network, will help Trust Machines form business strategies more effectively to pursue its goal of increasing Bitcoin adoption and creating a Bitcoin-native Web3 ecosystem of decentralized apps and services. Shah said:

“I am elated to shepherd a new wave of Bitcoin applications for the ecosystem with Trust Machines. I’m bullish about the true utility of building with the Bitcoin blockchain by unlocking $1T in assets to be productive for you”

Shah added she is looking forward to “shifting the mindset that Bitcoin is simply a store of value with the applications we incubate.”

In addition to the two new hirings, Trust Machines is currently in process of adding new design specialists, blockchain engineers, and experienced executives to its rapidly growing team.
