my dumb ass can tell you exactly what the price will do after the merge

Everyone's hyped for the ETH Merge. I'm hyped for the ETH Merge. It's progress, and it's awesome.

SOME people think that as soon as the merge happens, the price is going to skyrocket. People getting in quick, hoping to make a quick buck. This won't happen.

Every single time people hype something up this much in crypto, the market plays itself. Fear over change will lead to a lot of selling. Bots will sell as soon as the merge happens, hoping to catch some sort of spike. Big players who were a fan of POW will throw a hissy fit, and take their funds to another ecosystem.

Ultimately, my prediction is we won't see the price surge people are hoping for until after this (crypto)winter, when all the benefits of the merge have been proven. Crypto is speculative, but betting on the merge increasing prices dramatically is the new and improved Speculative Plus(TM), powered by Hopium(TM)

But wait, there's more.

The only times I've ever been so certain of the market, the market has done the opposite. Which means me saying all this, being so sure of it, is likey to be completely wrong. I have taken the power of my jinx and I have made you all richer for it. Watch the market explode just to spite me.

I don't know if I should mark this as discussion or comedy. Nothing I have to say holds any weight, but I'm so sure of it. I'm eager to hear your thoughts, and I do hope I'm wrong! If I am, I'll be very happy. But let's keep expectations realistic.
