Last week marked the successful implementation of the proposal to halt daily emissions, resulting in a maximum token supply now securely locked at less than half of the initial 300 million proposed tokens, precisely at 146,345,772.
Barring any future proposals to resume emissions, this figure should stand as our token supply moving forward.

By now, everyone should have come across the community fork plan for SP in the community channel. If not, it's worth checking the pinned messages in Telegram.
A pseudo grant proposal has been put forward to assess support for the community fork. By voting for this 'grant' proposal, LPers are indicating their support for the community fork plan and their willingness to migrate their liquidity to the new protocol when the opportunity arises.
The proposal has already garnered majority support, with over 66.66% of all staked LP weight backing it. This strong support suggests that moving forward with the community fork is the preferred path for SP. However, there are still some details to finalize once consensus on the proposal is reached. After that, it will be crucial for everyone to come together to support the effort and the chosen path forward.
The final results of the proposal will be known in a little over six days. If you support the proposal and have staked LP weight, be sure to vote. If you do not support it, there's no need to take action; by not voting, you're effectively voting against the proposal. Conversely, if you wish to increase opposition to the proposal, adding more weight without voting will further amplify your stance against it.
