XRP’s recent performance has earned it the top position in Grayscale’s Crypto Snapshot, making it the best-performing cryptocurrency of the week.
Fresh data from Grayscale Investments shows that XRP outperformed major assets like Stellar, Cardano, and Dogecoin to clinch the first position in Grayscale’s Crypto Snapshot - Asset.
For context, the Crypto Snapshot - Assets is a weekly report from Grayscale showing the performance of the top 10 cryptocurrencies, excluding stablecoins.
XRP Leads with Over 9% Weekly Gain
Notably, XRP led the ranking with a 9.7% gain for the week, spanning July 31 - August 7, 2025. This marks a remarkable turnaround for the token, which ranked sixth the prior week (July 24–31) following a 3.9% decline.
Given its latest performance over the past week, XRP’s year-to-date returns (YTD) soared to around 59.4%, pushing its market cap to $196.4 billion. At the moment, XRP is trading at $3.29, up 11.30% over the past week and 36.45% in the past 30 days.
Latest updates from the SEC and Ripple lawsuit had a significant impact on the performance of XRP this week. The token, which was gradually recovering from the widespread sell-off driven by President Trump’s tariff update, experienced a significant surge after the SEC and Ripple asked the Second Circuit to dismiss their appeals.
Performance of Other Top 10 Non-Stablecoin Cryptos
As a result, XRP secured the top position in the Grayscale Crypto Snapshot, outperforming Stellar and Cardano, which ranked second and third, respectively.
According to the data, Stellar claimed the second position with a weekly gain of 9.1%. In comparison, Cardano’s price grew 6.3% over the week, positioning it as the third-best performing cryptocurrency in Grayscale’s Crypto Snapshot.

Notably, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Tron, and Solana occupied the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh positions, posting gains of 6.1%, 5.8%, and 4.2% over the week.
Bitcoin sits near the bottom of the leaderboard, ranking eighth among the best-performing top 10 non-stablecoin cryptocurrencies. As of August 7, the premier cryptocurrency saw a modest gain of only 1.5% over the week.
BNB and Hyperliquid found themselves in the ninth and tenth positions on the leaderboard. While BNB registered a slight growth of 0.5% over the week, Hyperliquid did not see any gain or loss in the same timeframe. Despite having a flat performance this week, Hyperliquid still has the highest year-to-date returns at 69.5%.
