  • Cardano’s Lace wallet adds XRP support, strengthening cross-chain alliances.
  • Hoskinson unveils Hydra and Laos, advancing Cardano’s global scalability push.
  • John Deaton predicts Gemini’s XRP Mastercard will dominate crypto cards.

Lawyer John Deaton welcomed Cardano’s decision to integrate XRP into its Lace wallet by the end of the year. This announcement was preceded by an extensive speech by Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson describing the company’s progress and future plans.

Deaton characterized the partnership as a privilege and a show of unity between two very active crypto communities. The move is also indicative of Cardano’s emerging practice of forming partnerships within the digital asset ecosystem.

Hoskinson also mentioned the talks with industry leaders such as Sergey Nazarov of Chainlink, Anatoly Yakovenko of Solana, Ilia Polosukhin of Near, and Brad Garlinghouse of Ripple. These discussions were offered as part of Cardano’s endeavors to build its presence in the global blockchain ecosystem.

Governance and Regulation in Focus

During his update, Hoskinson addressed what he called the Cardano Foundation’s lack of active participation in key industry events. He also pointed to Intersect, a members-based governance body, as an aid in achieving decentralized decision-making within the network.

He also disregarded adverse media reports, describing them as false reports of possible legal wrangles with community representatives. His remarks were representative of an interest in stabilizing Cardano’s governance and combating external criticism.

Regulatory-wise, Hoskinson cited the Clarity Act as a key move toward creating a more transparent set of digital asset regulations. He also identified incomplete Federal Reserve regulation of the decentralized finance sector, and said that this problem could soon need a rapid solution.

Expanding Technology and Market Reach

Hoskinson confirmed plans for an upcoming Asia tour covering Vietnam, Korea, Japan, and Singapore. The tours will promote use in areas that have witnessed a high level of blockchain applications.

On the technical front, he highlighted Hydra as an important scaling solution capable of supporting the demands of the real world. He also presented the Laos protocol, a pipeline-based consensus system that attempts to scale without sharding. Together with Mithril and Genesis, Laos is part of Cardano’s multi-layered approach to scalability.

Deaton’s Confidence in Gemini’s XRP Mastercard

Attorney Deaton also strongly believes in Gemini’s new XRP Mastercard, predicting it will surpass other crypto cards in the market. His comments increased the excitement in the XRP community in anticipation of the official launch.

The Mastercard, issued by WebBank and powered by Gemini, gives up to four percent cashback in XRP on purchases.

Deaton added that the support of the XRP Army will be critical to the card’s success. He referred to his prediction as a friendly bet but insisted that he was sure that Mastercard would be the leading product.

Hoskinson’s update reaffirmed Cardano’s approach of integrating partnerships, governance, and technology enhancement to accelerate adoption. At the same time, Deaton’s optimism around Gemini’s Mastercard highlighted XRP’s growing influence across digital finance.
