  • Whale transfers $500M in XRP without public notice or alert.
  • Both wallets linked to Uphold, raising internal transfer suspicions.
  • Market remains stable despite massive on-chain XRP transaction activity.

A massive XRP transaction worth nearly $500 million has caught the attention of the crypto world. The transfer involved 214,148,716 XRP moved in one transaction from a long-standing wallet to a newly activated and previously inactive address.

According to Whales Alert data both addresses were initially unmarked, sparking concerns over their origin and purpose. The destination wallet was opened in June 2025 and has zero transaction history prior to this time.

It is currently one of the largest XRP holders on the XRP Ledger, with more than 708 million tokens in possession after the transfer.

Further investigation revealed links between both addresses and Uphold, a centralized platform known to store large XRP reserves. Although the receiving address was new, analysts discovered parallels in custodial behavior, indicating it also ties back to Uphold’s infrastructure connected in 2021.

It is interesting to note that Uphold undertook the translocation in the absence of official publicity or prior notice. There was no significant warning about the move, and the platform has not released any statements about the transaction.

The absence of any external interface and the nature of transfer indicate an internal working operation, probably custodial restructuring or cold storage management.

Internal Transfer Patterns Signal Custodial Strategy

Despite the size of the movement, the XRP market did not show any immediate response. Prices remained steady, and trading volumes showed no sudden change. This has led many to believe the transfer was fully controlled and did not involve external user funds or public liquidity.

According to WhaleAlert, the large-scale transfer was successfully executed without disruption to the network. Even after selling billions of XRP, the sending wallet continues to contain over one billion tokens, which indicates that it has a large share of the circulating supply.

This is an unexpected move on-chain that has created speculation in the XRP circle. The administration of such a giant amount into another wallet has caused concern regarding the scene’s institutional strategies and reserve management.

The sudden relocation of 500 million XRP has drawn responses in the planet’s crypto circles, where people gather to await a formal explanation for the incident.

As both wallets remain tied to Uphold’s known infrastructure, observers expect more internal actions may follow in the coming days.
