Throughout Q3 2025, Hedera engaged in more than 24 events across 18 cities across the globe. From conferences and side events to meetups and hackathons, Hedera’s activities showcased advancements in tokenization, payments, AI, and sustainability driving the digital economy forward.

Event Spotlights

WeAreDevelopers World Congress: Berlin, Germany, July 9–11, 2025

At WeAreDevelopers, Hedera returned with a booth in the main exhibition hall, featuring the Hedera Developer Playground and Hedera Contract Builder, interactive tools connected to the Hedera testnet that gave developers a hands-on way to explore Web3. The focus centred on supporting Web2 developers transitioning into blockchain, and Web3 builders already using Hedera Native resources and EVM tooling, while attendees engaged with a speed-typing game powered by the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS).

On stage, Hedera delivered two technical presentations:

  • Demystifying Crypto & Web3: A Technical Journey Through 15 Years of Innovation” by Ed Marquez, Head of Developer Relations.
  • Pragmatic Blockchain Design Patterns: Integrating Blockchain into Business Processes” by Michiel Mulders, Developer Relations.

A workshop titled “Build with Blockchain & AI Agents,” led by Jake Hall and Ed Marquez, was held to guide developers through using the Hedera Portal to explore core concepts and build an AI agent that interacts with the SaucerSwap DEX.

“GM Vietnam in Hanoi, SURF in Da Nang, and ETH Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City showcased the Vietnamese government’s strong commitment to advancing Web3 and AI adoption through tokenization initiatives and pre-production sandboxes. During these pivotal industry gatherings, representatives from the Hedera Foundation actively contributed to public-private sector discussions and high-level closed-door roundtables, highlighting how Hedera’s distinctive technology and deep APAC experience are helping shape Vietnam’s evolving retail and institutional digital ecosystem.” — Jeffrey Tchui, VP | Head of APAC Ecosystem at Hedera Foundation

Hedera participated in The AI Conference in San Francisco as the only Layer 1 network represented, attracting significant interest from attendees. The team engaged with a new audience, demonstrating how AI and decentralized technologies intersect to transform how digital platforms are , governed, and scaled.

At the conference, Ty Smith, Senior Product Manager at Hashgraph, presented “AI and Web3: The Next Frontier.” His session examined how generative AI agents are evolving to transact, collaborate, and make real-time, high-stakes decisions, contingent on the ability to verify their data, actions, and costs. He highlighted how Hedera’s cryptographic attestation, fair-ordered consensus, and native micropayments enable AI agents to prove computation, exchange verifiable data streams, and settle value seamlessly, overcoming the limitations of traditional blockchains.

“The AI Conference was an amazing event. I learned an immense amount about the AI Industry, its trajectory, and how builders are focusing on solving problems. The Hedera booth did very well, and it taught me there’s a high need for networks like Hedera to evangelize the solutions of data authenticity / verifiability directly to the AI Industry as a whole.” — Ty Smith, Senior Product Manager at Hashgraph
