What to Know

  • BNB Chain overtook Tron with 79.3 million stablecoin holders, reflecting stronger blockchain adoption and sustained network expansion across users.
  • Stablecoins remain essential for payments, decentralized finance, while Ethereum, Celo and Polygon trail both leading networks.
  • BNB reclaimed key moving averages but faces resistance near $602, while modest trading volume limits bullish conviction for investors.

BNB Chain has overtaken Tron to become the largest blockchain by stablecoin holder count, marking a major shift in blockchain adoption, with Token Terminal data showing the network now has approximately 79.3 million stablecoin-holding addresses compared with Tron’s 76.1 million.

The milestone reflects changing user activity across blockchain networks rather than short-term trading interest, as stablecoin holders represent active wallets that support payments, decentralized finance, and digital asset transfers across multiple applications.

Moreover, BNB Chain has recorded strong expansion since late 2024, with its stablecoin holder base increasing from roughly 42 million addresses to nearly 80 million, representing about 54.5% growth and allowing the network to erase Tron’s long-standing advantage. Meanwhile, Tron also expanded its stablecoin user base during the same period, but its slower pace of growth enabled BNB Chain to close the gap and secure the leading position.

Stablecoin growth strengthens BNB Chain ecosystem

Stablecoins serve as the primary settlement asset across centralized exchanges, decentralized finance protocols, and blockchain payment networks. Consequently, holder growth provides a reliable measure of actual blockchain adoption instead of speculative market activity.

Additionally, Token Terminal ranks Ethereum third with approximately 26 million stablecoin holders. Celo follows with about 24.5 million holders, while Polygon has roughly 21.7 million stablecoin-holding addresses.

Base, Solana, and Arbitrum have also expanded their stablecoin ecosystems throughout 2026. Nevertheless, each network remains well behind BNB Chain and Tron in total holder count.

Besides increasing adoption, the expanding stablecoin user base could improve liquidity across BNB Chain’s decentralized applications. Stronger liquidity generally supports greater transaction activity and wider participation throughout the ecosystem.

Furthermore, developers may benefit from a broader user base as more wallets interact with decentralized finance platforms, payment services, and on-chain applications built on BNB Chain.

BNB price meets technical resistance despite network milestone

BNB’s market performance has not fully reflected the network’s latest achievement, with the token trading around $586 after recovering from June’s correction. Even so, the chart structure has improved as BNB reclaimed both its 20-day and 50-day moving averages, strengthening technical support.

However, the token now faces important resistance near the 100-day moving average around $602, with a breakout potentially opening a path toward $647. Additionally, the Relative Strength Index has climbed above 53, indicating stronger buying momentum without reaching overbought conditions. However, trading volume remains relatively modest, suggesting many investors are waiting for stronger confirmation before taking larger positions.

Conclusion

BNB Chain’s rise above Tron marks an important change in stablecoin adoption across blockchain networks. Although BNB’s price has yet to match the network milestone, expanding user participation, growing liquidity, and improving technical indicators reinforce the ecosystem’s stronger competitive position.
