TRON is back in the spotlight. The network just surpassed Ethereum in USDT transfer volume and signed a major deal with RWA protocol Plume. According to recent data, TRON now processes over $21 billion in weekly USDT transfers, far ahead of Ethereum’s $8 billion. With 2.4 million USDT transfers per day,

TRON handles nearly 10 times more than its rival. It now accounts for over 55% of global USDT activity. This rapid growth strengthens TRON’s position as the go-to network for stablecoin payments, especially in emerging markets where low fees and fast settlement are essential.

TRON’s USDT Volume Crushes Ethereum

TRON has quietly become the top dog for stablecoin usage. With $21 billion in USDT moved weekly, it’s outpacing Ethereum by a wide margin. Daily, TRON handles 2.4 million USDT transfers. Ethereum, while still dominant in DeFi TVL, is losing stablecoin ground to TRON.

High gas fees and congestion have pushed stablecoin users to faster, cheaper options. TRON’s design, geared toward efficiency. That makes it a favorite in regions like Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America. These areas rely heavily on USDT for remittances, savings, and payments.

SkyLink Deal Brings Real-World Assets to TRON

Alongside its volume milestone, TRON also signed a strategic partnership with Plume, a Real-World Asset (RWA) infrastructure project. Plume’s SkyLink product will soon launch on TRON, unlocking new capabilities. With this integration, TRON will support native stablecoin deployment, RWA yield strategies, and institutional-grade assets.

The move signals TRON’s intent to expand beyond payments into regulated, compliant financial use cases. It also places TRON in the growing RWA narrative, an area gaining steam among both institutional and DeFi players.

TRON’s Shift: From Retail to Institutional

TRON’s core appeal was once limited to fast, cheap payments. But the SkyLink deal and massive USDT activity show something deeper: a shift toward financial infrastructure. As institutions look to enter blockchain, TRON is becoming attractive for its settlement scale and upcoming RWA features. If SkyLink succeeds, TRON may offer something few blockchains do: stablecoin utility paired with real-world returns and regulated integration.

From Stats to Strategy: TRON Levels Up

This wasn’t just a win for TRON’s metrics. It was a win for its vision. From topping Ethereum in USDT to linking up with an RWA project, TRON is reshaping how people view its role. It’s no longer just a fast chain; it’s a payments and finance powerhouse. The real test is Execution. If Plume delivers on SkyLink and TRON keeps its USDT edge, the network might just lead the next wave of real-world crypto adoption.
