Hedera selected for Wyoming’s Frontier Stable Token (FRNT)
Hedera has been selected by the Wyoming Stable Token Commission as the only additional blockchain candidate for the Frontier Stable Token (FRNT), the first state-issued stable token in the United States. FRNT is fully backed by U.S. dollars and short-term Treasuries with an extra two percent reserve. It is designed to improve public finance by enabling faster, more transparent, and efficient payments, all while directing interest earned to Wyoming’s School Foundation Program.
The Commission chose Hedera for its speed, reliability, low fixed fees, and strong governance model, which align with regulatory requirements and real-world financial use. Hedera’s fast, carbon-negative network processes up to 10,000 transactions per second, making it suitable for applications like tax refunds, disaster relief, and public payroll systems.

QFC turns to HashSphere for Islamic finance innovation pilot
On September 8 the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) unveiled a groundbreaking proof of concept under its Digital Asset Lab to apply blockchain technology to Shariah-compliant finance. In collaboration with AlRayan Bank, Blade Labs, Hashgraph, and Google Cloud, the initiative introduces a blockchain-based Digital Receipt System (DRS) on HashSphere, a Hedera-powered private DLT network.
This project aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and regulatory compliance in asset-backed finance while showcasing Qatar’s leadership in financial innovation.

Happy 1 year, Hiero!
On September 16, 2025, Hiero celebrated its first anniversary as digital assets moved from “fringe to foundation” in global finance. True innovation now demands more than interoperability, it requires code neutrality, so no single company sets the rules.
In its first year, Hiero advanced open, resilient blockchain infrastructure built to outlast any single actor and became the first project to graduate under the Linux Foundation’s Decentralized Trust umbrella and new Project Lifecycle Framework.
Since its launch in September 2024, Hiero has strengthened community governance, expanded its Technical Steering Committee, and grown to nearly 800 contributors representing more than 80 organizations and 50 adopters. By upholding transparency and collective governance, Hiero enables financial institutions to adopt digital assets with confidence, creating systems that endure market shifts, regulatory scrutiny, and time. Neutral, open code is setting the standard for the future of global finance.

Hedera Foundation and ecosystem make big moves
This month showcased major momentum across the Hedera ecosystem.
- Archax launched Pool Tokens on Hedera, marking a major milestone in the tokenization of financial markets. This unlocks onchain multi-asset portfolios, enabling institutional investors with new ways to build, transfer, and manage diversified baskets of tokenized assets. Read more here.
- Via Stargate Finance and SaucerSwap, Canonical Wrapped Ether (wETH) was launched on the Hedera network. Now, Hedera users can access Ethereum’s most popular token along with the massive liquidity and utility benefits of wETH on-chain. Congratulations to the winners of Hello Future Hackathon
The winners of the Hello Future Origins Hackathon have now been announced, following an exciting closing ceremony on September 15. Between July 21 and August 8, builders from around the world competed on Hedera for $150,000 in prizes, developing innovative solutions across AI and agents, DeFi and tokenization, and sustainability. The Legacy Builders track also gave teams the chance to refine and optimize past projects.
Highlights include Major Gainz, an AI DeFi copilot; Aegis Protocol, a secure trust and asset management layer; and GreenTrace, a verifiable carbon management platform. Legacy Builder Effisend impressed with its AI-powered biometric payments. These projects showcase Hedera’s thriving developer community and its potential for real-world impact.

Hashgraph turns up the HEAT
Hashgraph has introduced the Hedera Enterprise Adoption Team (HEAT) to accelerate enterprise-grade solutions across the Hedera network. HEAT is designed to move Council Members from proofs of concept to production, coordinating expertise and resources to deliver scalable, high-impact projects that drive network value.
Long-standing member of the Hedera community, Rob Allen, former AP+ executive and long-time Council representative, will head the initiative. Hedera Co-Founder Mance Harmon called HEAT “the key to turning Council Members’ ambitions into lasting solutions,” citing Rob’s unmatched blend of strategy, payments innovation, and deep Hedera experience.
