Key Insights:
- Hyperliquid crypto revenue has surpassed $1 billion, while the buyback program continues to support HYPE.
- More than 248,000 HYPE holders now make up the growing Hyperliquid ecosystem.
- Hyperliquid crypto plans HIP-4 Outcome Markets as revenue passes $1 billion and HYPE holders continue to grow steadily.
Hyperliquid crypto is getting ready to launch HIP-4 Outcome Markets on testnet as the project continues to grow. The update comes after protocol revenue passed $1 billion. At the same time, the number of holders has increased. It indicates that more users are joining the network, and it could fuel a HYPE price breakout.
Hyperliquid Crypto Plans HIP-4 Outcome Markets
Hyperliquid crypto has shared new details about HIP-4 Outcome Markets, which will first be released on testnet before becoming available for wider use. The new feature will allow developers to create prediction markets without asking for permission, but there are rules they must follow. Anyone who wants to launch a market must lock up 500,000 HYPE as a stake.

That stake can be reduced if a market is not clearly written or if the result is settled the wrong way. The project also said validators will approve standard market templates before they can be used. After that, developers can create their own markets using those templates and receive up to 50% of the fees from the markets they launch, as Hyperliquid docs confirm.
Hyperliquid said prediction markets could become much bigger than spot and perpetual trading because there are far more real-world events that people can trade on. For that reason, the team believes Outcome Markets can become an important part of the network in the years ahead.
The first version will be available on testnet in a future update. This gives developers time to test the system before it is released on the main network.
Revenue Growth Keeps Hype Price in Focus
The HIP-4 update comes as Hyperliquid continues to post strong revenue numbers. According to DefiLlama data, the protocol has now generated more than $1 billion in revenue. The figure is based on the protocol’s revenue, not its total value locked or market value.
Another reason the project has attracted attention is its buyback system. DefiLlama also reveals that between 97 and 99 percent of protocol fees are used to buy back Hyperliquid crypto through the Assistance Fund. The fund now holds about 45.7 million HYPE.

Hype price has also remained a major talking point after about 9.92 million HYPE tokens were unlocked in July. More tokens in circulation can increase selling pressure, but the Assistance Fund already holds several times that amount.
There are still risks to watch. Only about 22% of the total one billion HYPE supply is in circulation, with additional unlocks expected through 2027. Buybacks could also slow if trading activity falls in the future.
Hyperliquid Crypto Holders Continue to Increase
The Hyperliquid community has also continued to grow. Recent HYPE token figures from the HypurrScan platform show there are now more than 248,000 HYPE holders. While prices move up and down, a rising number of holders often shows that more people are choosing to stay in the ecosystem.

The project has also received fresh attention from the wider market. Bitwise and 21Shares have launched spot Hyperliquid crypto ETFs, while Hyperliquid Strategies is working to raise up to $1 billion to buy HYPE. Supporters also expect HIP-3 to bring more developers to the network.
For now, Hyperliquid has several important developments happening at the same time. The coming launch of HIP-4, protocol revenue above $1 billion, and steady growth in HYPE holders all point to a network that is still expanding. How the project performs from here will depend on user activity, new builders joining the ecosystem, and how it handles future token unlocks.
