CLARITY Act: What It Means for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP Prices

The CLARITY Act remains a major market catalyst as the U.S. Senate heads into a narrow window before its August recess.

As of Aug. 5, no cloture motion had been filed, while lawmakers continued talks over ethics rules, stablecoin yield language and other provisions.

That delay matters for crypto traders. Bitcoin is near $64,137, while Ethereum is around $1,870 and XRP is near $1.06 in the levels being watched today.

The next moves may depend as much on Senate headlines as on chart structure.

Why is the CLARITY Act important for crypto prices?

The bill would create a clearer U.S. framework for digital assets and help define the roles of the Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

The Senate Banking Committee advanced its market-structure work in May, and an updated merged draft was released in July.

The immediate problem is timing. Recent reporting says the Senate missed its Aug. 4 agenda slot, leaving only a short path before the chamber's recess.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune has been linked to a possible procedural move, but the timetable remains uncertain.

Sen. John Kennedy has also pushed for an immediate vote, arguing that the legislation has already taken years.

The political message is clear: supporters want movement, while negotiations over ethics and stablecoin rewards still matter.

For markets, a procedural breakthrough could reduce regulatory uncertainty. A further delay could keep traders defensive.

Bitcoin price prediction: Can BTC reclaim $64,300?

Bitcoin is trading close to a key decision area. The latest reference price is about $64,137, putting the market just below the $64,300 level highlighted by traders.

A confirmed four-hour close above $64,300 would strengthen the short-term bullish case. The next resistance areas are around $65,500 and $66,500.

The downside setup is also clear. A break below $60,000 would weaken the structure and could bring the $58,000 whale accumulation zone into focus.

That leaves BTC with a defined range rather than a one-way forecast. Senate headlines could add volatility, but price confirmation still matters more than headlines alone.

Ethereum price prediction: Can ETH hold $1,850 support?

Ethereum is hovering around $1,870, keeping the $1,850 support area in focus. The level is close enough to the current price that a daily break could quickly change short-term sentiment.

A sustained hold above $1,850 would keep the $2,000 area in play. That would require buyers to regain control and push ETH through nearby resistance with stronger volume.

A clean move below $1,850 would instead favor the larger bearish structure and could expose the lower boundary of the broader channel.

Bottom line for ETH traders

For now, ETH's next move looks tied to one simple thing: whether the $1,850 support area holds. A bounce keeps the $2,000 target in play.

A clean break below it lines up with the larger downtrend and opens room toward the channel's lower boundary. Neither outcome is locked in. Treat both as possibilities, not certainties.

XRP price prediction: Can XRP break the $1.15 resistance?

XRP is holding near the $1.03 to $1.05 support zone, while resistance is stacked around $1.12 to $1.15. Price is compressing near the tip of a triangle pattern.

A daily close above $1.15 with strong volume would improve the bullish breakout setup. A close below $1.03 would instead expose XRP to more downside risk.

The regulatory angle is especially relevant for XRP because clearer U.S. market rules could affect how traders assess exchange access, token classification and institutional participation. Still, the chart has to confirm the move.

What could happen to BTC, ETH and XRP next?

The key risk is headline-driven volatility. A Senate procedural breakthrough could lift sentiment across major crypto assets, while another delay could leave traders focused on support levels.

The market is therefore watching two clocks: the Senate calendar and the price charts. Neither gives a guaranteed outcome.
