2-3 years ago projects had websites, white papers, sometimes there was a team and maybe a working demo on testnet or something in alpha. Something tangible and at least the promise of something useful.
Today it feels like people have lost their mind
People are FOMO'ing into stuff like Dorayaki.fun, or Eminence, a project with no website, no white paper, no GUI, nothing...
You check the Whois of the websites set up for those projects and certain domains were literally purchased mid-september!
Some projects back in the day were shady AF but this new wave of forks is taking shady to a whole new level and making stuff like Potcoin and Dentacoin look highly respectable!
What is astounding in 2020 is the speed at which some of those projects are forked and launched (with new branding).
And don't get me started with what's happening on the NFT side...
People who have been in Crypto for a few years, what do you think of all this? Did it feel more insane back in the day or are we pushing the envelope in terms of insanity in 2020?
