THORSwap’s $THOR token will be launched in 3 phases

Phase 1 — Thorstarter [COMPLETED]

$THOR will first be launched on Thorstarter on November 1st, at the same price per token as the private sale.

This will be a capped token launch, meaning each participant is capped at max $300 per participant. This is intended to encourage much broader community participation (minimum 2500 participants) and to limit whale activity.

Thorstarter has built a first-of-its-kind model: a token launchpad that combines decentralized liquidity with an investment DAO and helps to bootstrap promising projects!

Phase 2 — THORChain

Shortly after, around November 3rd, there will be an uncapped liquidity pool on THORChain, which allows unlimited participation using $RUNE. Starting price will be the same as Thorstarter, then adjust as pool liquidity fills. Deposit $RUNE into the pending pool, receive $THOR when the pool becomes activated (est. 3 days).

Phase 3 — SushiSwap

Soon after the THORChain liquidity pool, $THOR will become available on SushiSwap. Liquidity in the $THOR-$ETH SushiSwap pool will reflect the same price in THORChain’s liquidity pool.

How to participate in Thorstarter’s launch?

TLDR: (i) acquire 100 XRUNE, (ii) stake for 100 vXRUNE in order to qualify for Thorstarter’s sale, (iii) acquire additional XRUNE, (iv) deposit up to US$300 worth of XRUNE to exchange for THOR

Thorstarter has 2 requirements to participate → XRUNE and vXRUNE

Pre-launch

1. To acquire XRUNE — you can purchase XRUNE on THORSwap or SushiSwap (for small transactions $0–$500 then use SushiSwap as it would be less gas intensive). If you do not yet have a wallet, we recommend using XDEFI or MetaMask.
2. To acquire vXRUNE — You need to stake 100 XRUNE for 100 vXRUNE. This qualifies you to become a Valhalla Venture DAO member, which allows you to participate in Thorstarter’s token launch. To stake your XRUNE for vXRUNE go to https://app.thorstarter.org/governance/token and connect your wallet (XDefi, Metamask, TrustWallet) like so:

4. Lock (aka stake) 100 XRUNE. You will need ETH if your wallet as gas to stake ;)

It is recommended to complete these steps beforehand and during times of low gas to be most capital efficient!

Day-Of Launch

You must complete the Pre-Launch steps before attempting the following steps!

1. Go to the Thorstarter APP.
2. Connect your wallet (XDefi, Metamask, TrustWallet) at the top right

3. Select $THOR

4. Choose your investment size (up to $300)

5. Deposit $XRUNE

6. You will be able to claim your $THOR tokens from the Thorstarter APP a few days afterwards

FAQs

Why join Thorstarter’s Valhalla Venture Dao?
This is Thorstarter’s requirement to participate in the launch. 100 XRUNE costs ~$40 at current prices. Staking your XRUNE for vXRUNE grants you nominal membership to the DAO, which gives you access to any sale available on Thorstarter. You may unlock and withdraw your XRUNE after this launch if you choose to do so.

Why the $300 cap?
This is done to be more fair for the community by maximizing allocation to more participants, instead of being overrun by a few whales.

Is this First Come First Serve?
No. Thorstarter’s model is an overflow structure, which means $THOR will be proportionally distributed based on the total amount of $XRUNE received by Thorstarter. Each wallet that completed Day-of-Launch steps will be allocated a maximum of $300 worth of $THOR per wallet. Any additional $XRUNE received from users will be refunded if you are not fully allocated.

I can’t connect my XDEFI wallet to Thorstarter
You need to enable injection and permissions. Follow the step by step guide below:

Step 1: Click top right the 3 lines to open up options menu.

Step 2: Click “Security” and then “dApps provider settings”

Step 3: Make sure your Ethereum provider Injection and as Metamask is checked

Step 4: After you have tried connecting and still no luck. Then open “dApps permission management” and tick thorstarter.org for both.

Still no luck?

Enabling both XDEFI and Metamask at the same time can cause conflicts. To mitigate this, you should deactivate the extension which you are not using.

‌For Google Chrome:
Step 1: Deactivate the Metamask or XDEFi extension in…. chrome://extensions/
Step 2: Clear Cache in…. chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
Step 3: Restart Browser

‌Repeat these steps in the appropriate browser i.e Brave.
