Avalanche to Host MoneyDance: Virtual Hackathon, Summit, and Demo Day with $37K in Prizes

It’s no secret that decentralized finance (DeFi) is growing faster than ever. Established protocols are reaching unicorn status, while new projects are attracting hundreds of millions of dollars in value from the humble yield farmers. Running (fast) in parallel, we launched Avalanche’s mainnet on September 21, and quietly put together a fully immersive program, for developers and blockchain enthusiasts alike, to kick-off the network with a celebration of all things DeFi.

Today, we’re excited to unveil that program and invite you to join us at MoneyDance, a virtual event merging a hackathon, summit, and demo day all into one streamlined experience beginning September 28, 2020, and ending December 9, 2020. MoneyDance is for blockchain developers interested in building decentralized solutions that further democratizes the financial markets.

An Action-Packed Event for Builders and Enthusiasts

During MoneyDance Hackathon, blockchain developers and hackers will compete for $37,000 in prizes brought to you by Avalanche, Polyient Games, Biconomy, and Quantstamp — the movers and shakers within DeFi supporting open innovation for the hackathon.

Running parallel with the hackathon is MoneyDance Summit–business and technical programming led by experts from both decentralized and traditional industries. MoneyDance will have workshops for engineering, marketing, community development, and more to help participants lay the foundations for their projects to go from hack to hit.
