“Zoo” is a unique digital work created to continue the dystopian narrative of AI and human interaction prevalent in Chen Man's digital work. Much like Elon Musk's view of "The Singularity" AI event having the potential to wipe out humanity, “Zoo” paints a picture of the world as humanity comes to the end of its days and mother nature is waiting in the wings to reclaim the world for her own. The artwork “Zoo” presents a powerful reversal of roles, positioning a human within a rectangular glass box and turning a human into an object of observation. This subversion of the traditional observer and observed roles prompts a stark question: what happens when we, as humans, are on the other side of the glass, and the roles of the watcher and watched are inverted?
