Constructs x Ry Hawthorne

Inspiration comes and goes but art is more than just waiting for an idea. Art can be a form of exercise or meditation and similarly can result in release, clarity & growth. Simply sit down, put pen to paper or hand to keyboard and begin. Constructs is a series that stems out of creative block embracing the feeling of being stuck & realizing you don’t have to be stuck there for long. Each work starts from scratch beginning with just a primitive block and a minimal arrangement of geometric elements. The series draw parallels to brutalist architecture & constructivist graphic design interpreted through my own lens & style adding a future forward take on the genres.
