Impossible Objects By Fredy Solan. The works begin with photography, sound recording and digital transformation before being transferred onto canvas. Acrylic, ink and manually constructed surfaces subsequently alter or conceal the original digital information. The resulting paintings are neither representations of physical objects nor autonomous abstractions. They exist between technical image, still life and artifact. Throughout the series, familiar things become psychologically and spatially uncertain. Their practical function disappears, while traces of tension, contact, movement and use remain. Solan proposes the object not as a stable entity, but as a temporary concentration of signals—visible only for a moment before changing form again.
