Particle enables digital co-ownership of physical masterpieces through fractionalized NFTs. Founded in 2020, Particle aims to revolutionise the art world by promoting inclusivity and co-ownership. Led by influential figures in art, technology, and blockchain, such as Loic Gouzer (Christie's) and Oscar Salazar (Uber), Particle's mission focuses on democratising the fine art experience. They began by tokenizing Banksy's Love is in the Air, acquired for $12.9 million in 2022. The artwork was digitally divided into 10,000 unique tokens called Particles, representing ownership in the physical painting. Particle has grown into a thriving community of thousands, building an impressive art collection. The Particle Foundation oversees and exhibits these artworks internationally, alongside other highlighted artists, to its member collectors and the public. Particle uses fractionalized NFTs to enable digital co-ownership of physical masterpieces.
