retzompantli

Retzompantli is a collection of 212 skull sculptures, which were created out of cleaned up garbage from Tulum's beaches, streets and jungles. It is a project that combines art, culture and technology to draw direct attention to one of the biggest problems of our society. In the artist's own words: „If we continue like this and do not raise awareness about the pollution in our world, we will end up like the tzompantli. Dead.“
