San Holo - All The Highs

Everyone goes through their own lows and highs in life, and in a way, that’s such a unifying thing. I’m obsessed with the word “Sonder,” - the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness. Every person you pass by in life has their own story, in a way you might think this separates us… but actually, the opposite is true: It connects us. I wanted to write a song about sonder and remind myself to embrace everything that life throws my way, whether I might think it’s good or bad. Sometimes the lows in life end up being an incredible lesson that actually turns out to be a high after all. Which brings the question: What if the lows aren’t actually that bad, if you learn to accept what is. Everything you go through in life shapes you as a person.
