"Hi everyone!
I’m Alex (icicle), & I suppose some of you already know me as Buddy’s owner ❤️

Buddy was a very real and very special dog in my life. More than a decade ago, I fought incredibly hard to save him, and somehow his story became intertwined with Bitcoin along the way.

When the BUDDY team recently reached out to me and showed me everything they had uncovered, I was genuinely amazed. They had gone back through old Bitcointalk posts from 2013, Bitcoin transactions and the “Buddy is the best dog in the world” inscription from 2014, eventually tracing the story all the way back to me and the real Buddy.

Since then, I’ve been sharing Buddy’s photographs, memories and some of the history I still have with the team, and I’m very happy to be here and supporting BUDDY as Buddy’s story is brought back to life.

What makes me especially excited is that we’re now looking at how Buddy’s story can become about more than remembering one very special dog. The team and I have already started working on what comes next, and I think Buddy would approve. ❤️🐾
