What to know
- Shiba Inu closed September with a 13.5% gain, marking its strongest month of 2026 and third consecutive positive monthly close.
- SHIB climbed from approximately $0.00000507 to a September high near $0.00000625 before surrendering part of its gains by month’s end.
- October expectations reflect SHIB’s quarterly recovery and Uptober optimism, although seasonal enthusiasm does not guarantee another month of stronger returns.
Shiba Inu closed September with a 13.5% gain, recording its strongest monthly performance of 2026 and third consecutive positive close. According to CryptoRank, September surpassed July’s approximately 12% increase and extended the token’s quarterly recovery.
Moreover, the result challenged bearish expectations surrounding September, which has frequently delivered weaker returns for Shiba Inu in previous years. SHIB began recovering in July following substantial losses during the first half of 2026, when price volatility weighed on performance.
August also ended positively, allowing September’s stronger advance to complete three consecutive months of gains across the third quarter. Consequently, the latest monthly result marked an improvement from the earlier losing stretch, although it did not confirm full recovery.
Meanwhile, Shiba Inu recorded a modest daily decline despite its stronger monthly performance, showing that the rebound still faced setbacks. However, this brief pullback did not change September’s position as the token’s strongest month within the reported 2026 performance figures.

September Trading Range Shapes Expectations for October Following Three Positive Months
Shiba Inu started September around $0.00000507 and reached a monthly high near $0.00000625, illustrating the extent of its price rebound. Those approximate levels indicate a roughly 23% increase between the opening price and the highest point recorded during the month.
However, the reported 13.5% monthly gain reflects closing performance rather than the larger increase achieved at September’s strongest trading level. Therefore, the difference indicates that SHIB surrendered part of its advance before closing the month with a positive overall return.
Additionally, October expectations have strengthened as the recovery coincides with seasonal optimism commonly described across cryptocurrency markets as Uptober. The September result provides context for those expectations, while three consecutive positive closes demonstrate improvement across a broader trading period.
Nevertheless, seasonal enthusiasm alone cannot establish whether October will outperform September, especially while daily price movements still include modest declines. Shiba Inu enters October with its best monthly result of 2026, extending a recovery that began during July this year.
